About fifteen years ago there was a group of scientists claiming that the Ice Age was coming and many had bought bumper stickers to remind us of the whole ordeal that would kill 2/3 of all life on Earth. Today, Al Gore and a group of socialists and scientists claim we are all going to die from massive flooding due to too much CO2 in the atmosphere, that simply is not so.

So who can you believe? After all if the atmosphere is thickened with particulate that will cause severe storms supposedly, which means more evaporation which means more water in the sky, which means it will block the sun’s rays and then the regions will cool again? Ah ha, a self-sustaining system, by gosh I think you now understand why all this is so irrelevant.

Science is based on facts and evidence compiled by an overwhelming body of research and experiments. To argue against science, there fore, one would need just as powerful a fact baked by just as in depth research and experiments. However, arguments against global warming thus far have seen only unfounded opinions motivated by self indulged intentions.

In the United States, for the longest time right wing politicians tried to convince the people that global warming was nothing more than a liberal propaganda. In the face of mounting ridicule, many of them have changed their position since. However, the force undermining global warming is a dangerous one. As the International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC), the most authoritative body on the subject partly established by the Untied Nations, prepared to release their report in February this year, oil companies such as Exxon Mobil began to offer academics and intellectuals hard cash to publish articles to counter the IPCC findings. Philip Cooney, a long time lobbyist for the oil industry was hired as a key official in the Bush administration and was given a free pass to edit a report on climate change before the government released it to the public. The idea was to undermine the threat of global warming. After uproar from the scientific community, and after copies of Cooney’s original hand edited reports were leaked in the press, he lost his job.

Today, everybody lives on a planet that has been battered by careless generations of the past. And we are still contributing to the earth’s eventual loss.

There are so many factors that could cause the planet’s demise. Water, air, land pollution, also, global warming. Global warming is defined as the increase in Earth’s temperature (on both its bodies of water and atmosphere). Scientists have also projected a continuance on the temperature increase. Most people believe that global warming has occurred because of many, harmful human activities. Partly, of course, it is true. But let us try to look at all the other factors that lead to this catastrophe - well, before you start to panic or fuss about being toasted alive. Know first, that most of them are myths!
