Realize how they coin the name Illusionist and not Magician.

mygif

Why do you think they know more, then?

mygif

The native American Cody was actually an Italian.

recycling is still at the beginning of its business model. In Japan where land is much more scarce, so dumping is not economical like in an empty state like Nebraska, they recycle a lot more than us. And they don’t have to sort at all.

A better approach is to reduce our use of wasteful products like bottled water. Or any plastic bottles.

Don’t forget P & T can shovel bullshit too.

They’re illusionists.

I heard about that on MJ Morning Show in Tampa. Very funny though.

I will tell you a secret…I am a former trash collector. and I believe I can safely estimate that about a third, and that is being kind, of the material you recycle ends up in a landfill. Have a nice day, and keep on recycling though. Just some FYI for everyone.

Where I live we separate our trash into bottles, aluminum cans, other cans, PET bottles, styrofoam trays, newspapers, cardboard, large unburnable gargbage, and burnable garbage. It’s no big deal. I think the people where I live know more about this issue and the economics of recycling than P&T do. I like their show, but don’t always agree.

this show is great however this episode is bullshit.

Yeah! Be honest about it. You can do recycling but that is extreme, especially if it was the law.

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

somehow, these people were nice, but really!
if someone told me to do that, I would start to ask, what the fuck? I cant comply with all of that! Lightly soiled toilet paper! HA! forget it.

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

LOL! with that many trash cans, I would start questioning why so many?

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

That trash cans thing is fucking INSANE!!! I don’t think those people would have done anything. They were just yes-men. Could’ve put a 100 trash cans out and they woul’ve “uh-huh, yeah.” Dumbasses. Be honest, you wouldn’t really spend a couple of hours to organize your trash unless you’re a REAL neatfreak.

Penn and Teller are great!
My only minor criticism is that they lose some of their audience by using the F-word so often.
But I love their libertarian and rational perspective!

Some people agree with Penn and Teller, because they make valid arguments and make good points. Just because you disagree with them, it doesn’t mean you have to go around and leave these worthless angry comments that contribute to nothing. There are people in the world that think differently than you. Get used to it. Attacking someone because you disagree will simply decrease your credibility and make people much less interested in listening to your opinion.

You mean obscenities like “mean spirited assholes”? No, I am not so weak-minded that I take everything on TV at face value. Or what is written on YouTube. When given information I research it to the best of my ability so I can make informed decisions. I also don’t make posts with accusations unless I am ready to back it up with facts. So, I invite you to do the same; if you have information “debunking” their claims I would like to hear it. I’m sure P&T would welcome the debate. I sure would.

They’re just mean-spirited assholes that can’t seem to get their points across without them being punctuated by obscenity. There are just as credible professionals on the other side of these topics P&T attempt to “debunk”… Their shows are such setups, first of all. Do you really believe everything you see and hear on TV? Are you really that weak-minded to believe whatever personality is capable of dominating your reality? P&T do just that… And I plan on stopping them, because you deserve

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

Well, name something in their show that was not true. Take emotion out of your argument and show how their claims are..well…bullshit. What have they stated that they can’t back up. Don’t just use the “it makes sense to recycle” argument. Show your numbers that proves your side.

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

Well, I’m not about to go around condemning people for recycling, lol, I’m just saying that it seems to be bad for the environment and economy, overall. But it would be ridiculous to claim that I now know for certain recycling is wrong or go after people who do it - I recycle, too.

mygif
Anonymous said in November 21st, 2008 at 6:09 pm

It’s sad how people can watch TV and believe everything it tells them when they haven’t even gone into the “real world” and experienced the truths that are out there. Penn & Teller just look pathetic to those of us who have.

I mean, come on. In the case of recycling, do you really think cutting out more resources from the Earth and dumping trash back in is a better alternative than re-using what is already there? Apparently, common sense ain’t so common anymore.

Don’t take P&T seriously.

I get a sick feeling inside me when I watch Penn & Teller; some would call it a “gut feeling”, although Penn & Teller (using “their” extremely outdated scientific methods) would tell you such intuitions are nonsense. Apparently, you’d have to be pretty stupid to believe Penn & Teller are qualified to tell the world what reality truly is. When in fact, these guys are being paid to push somebody elses’ agenda with their charisma and “wit”… I’m not buying it because I can think for myself.
